Job Summary











Service Technician IVermeer Heartland is in search of a Service Technician I based out of our corporate headquarters located in Washington Court House, OH. We are a full-service industrial equipment dealership serving Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia area with five branches. Vermeer is an industry leader in the landscaping, pipeline, organic recycling, utility installation, wood waste processing and tree care industry. We are adding another dedicated individual to our growing service business. The service technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel, electric and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; o Inspects and troubleshoots equipment to assess condition and diagnose repairso Installs, troubleshoots, adjusts, replaces, repairs, and rewires electrical systems and components, such as ignitions, signals, lights, and electrical controls, including computer-controlled componentso Adjusts and/or repairs automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, power-take-off drives, clutches, and related drive train componentso Adjusts, disassembles, and repairs or rebuilds drum and disc braking systems, valves, master cylinders, and pneumatic or other hydraulic controlso Uses welding and cutting equipment to make repairs and fabricate equipmento Coordinates materials and supplies required for maintenance and repair worko Keeps records of work performed, time and materials used by jobo Performs in-house and on-site field repairs to stationary or disabled equipmento Efficiently and safely utilize and help maintain tools and equipment o Other duties as assignedGeneral Qualifications:o 1-3 years of education and/or experienceo Demonstrated familiarization of products and equipmento Excellent mechanical skillso Strong computer skills o Superior customer service and people skillso Excellent oral communications and written skillo Strong organizational skillso Must have valid driver's license and ability to meet VHL insurance providers qualificationso Must provide your own tool set.Compensation and Benefits: Vermeer Heartland provides a highly competitive package including top hourly and overtime wages; health, dental and life insurance options; supplemental insurance options; 401K with matching contribution; short/long term disability insurance options and many other valuable benefits that come along with working in a financially strong, family owned, Pinnacle Award Winning Vermeer Dealership.This posting is for a position with an independent, authorized Vermeer dealer.
